One of the things which I feel is paramount as an educator is to always give back; to the community, to my students, and to the next generation of designers. We have been challenged in the past in providing guest speakers to our local high schools because it is often difficult for our local designers to take take off of work to be available during school hours. So instead of being able to provide live interviews, we have begun a series of interviews with some of our working graduates which can be used by the local high schools and those who are considering a career in the field of Graphic Arts and Design.
This project is the result of collaboration between our advisory board, our faculty, and several local high school design teachers. The interviews are conducted live on the first night of every class and are open to students, alumni, and interested guests.
For high schools and those considering a future in Graphic Arts and Design, we hope that our speakers provide you content and answer your questions as you explore the many career options available in the field of Visual Communications.
For our students, we hope that the interaction with other who have sat in your seat before will provide you inspiration, advice, and contacts in the industry as you begin your career.
For our graduates, this is an opportunity to share with the next generation of designers, to meet and to network with your fellow designers, and hopefully to provide contacts and knowledge to help you continue your growth and success.
If you have questions which you would like us to ask our guests or suggestions as to how we can make this series of more value to you, please feel free to give us your thoughts and comments.
Thank you for visiting and sharing the success of our alumni.
